Groundwork South West is currently working as a sub contractor to Prospects to deliver the Department of Work and Pensions Work Programme.
Using the Prospects Ascent model, Groundwork South West is working with unemployed people, referred through Job Centre Plus in Plymouth, Exeter, Torbay, Truro, Weymouth and Bournemouth.
With an holistic approach, the ethos of the programme is to create a service which helps to build customer’s confidence and self esteem, enabling them to get and sustain a job. Each customer is assessed to identify any problems they may have in getting job ready. The assesment takes into consideration any support, training or upskilling they may benefit from.
Employers are equally able to benefit from our range of services, which includes a FREE recruitment service, which enables us to pre-sort and job match potential candidates to suit employer's needs. This service provides an easy, no cost, way for employers to extend the pool of candidates for their vacancies, ready for selection.
We can also arrange free job trials, pre-job training and provide ongoing support where necessary to ensure the right person is in the right job.
All in all a win-win situation for employers and those looking for employment.
