Groundwork works on a huge variety of different projects. Many, although not designed as volunteering projects may have the opportunity for volunteers to get involved. If you see a project on our website and would like to get involved, contact your local Groundwork office for more information.

Recruitment and selection
Volunteers join Groundwork from all walks of life. We believe that different people bring different skills and experiences to our project work and we actively seek volunteers from all our local neighbourhoods and communities. Groundwork matches volunteer opportunities to volunteers through an informal meeting with the project supervisor. Volunteers come to Groundwork through referral from Volunteer Centres, via website enquiries or referral from other agencies. This is the process by which we recruit our volunteers. For some volunteering posts, a reference or Criminal Records Bureau check may be necessary before you can start volunteering.
